The following 3 units need to have already been achieved at Level 2
- Anatomy and physiology for health and exercise
- Applying the principles of nutrition to a physical activity programme
- Programming personal training with clients
- Delivering personal training sessions
Unit 1: Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise and Health (Level3)
- 40 question multiple choice paper (70% pass mark)
Unit 5: Applying the Principles of Nutrition to a Physical Activity Programme
- 40 question multiple choice paper (70% pass mark)
- Case study
Unit 6: Programming Personal Training with Clients
- Direct observation of static and dynamic client assessment
Unit 7: Delivering Personal Training Sessions
- Direct observation of a programme delivery to client
- 12 week progressive programme case study
NB: Learners who hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor Certificate are exempt from units 4, 5 and 6.
