

The qualification is intended to train learners to a professionally competent level, enabling them to prescribe, plan, conduct and review programmes to address the needs of patients/clients with low back pain.
This qualification covers a number of important topics across the two units, including the prevalence and epidemiology of low back pain, associated functional anatomy, and psychosocial implications, as well as detailed assessment and programme design strategies taken from key areas of research and clinical practice.
Low back pain affects about 1/3 of the UK adult population each year. This qualification represents a step in a direction that promotes a truly multidisciplinary approach to low back health in partnership with other professions.
