Winner of the KAL Apprentice of the Year 2017
“To create excellent training environments and personal, professional programmes that help our learners achieve their goals.”
The CMS Fitness Courses Mission statement was in full show last month when they sponsored and presented the ‘Apprentice of the Year Award’ at KAL’s Annual Celebration event.
CMS Fitness Courses have been an approved and recognised apprentice and training provider for Kirklees Active Leisure (KAL) for over 8 years. Involved in the delivery of over 250 learners, CMS have supported more than 100 apprentices into a variety of customer service, business administration and health and fitness roles. These include lifeguards, gym instructors, activity activators and many others.
These figures highlight a fantastic working relationship between both organisations within Kirklees, promoting Apprenticeships across a range of age groups and levels, as well as a culture of Professional Development.
IN recent years
Over the past three years the partnership between CMS and KAL has resulted in more than 50 learners being enrolled on an apprenticeship with a 50% split between apprentices being aged 19+ and 16-18.
Success stories have included previous KAL Apprentice of the Year award winners – see our blogs KAL Apprentice of the Year 2015 and KAL Apprentice of the year 2016, as well as a number of learners who have progressed on to higher level Apprenticeships with CMS, gained promotion or developed in to owning their own business as Personal Trainers. See our blog – Jamal Bent Level 2 Apprentice.
CMS also partner with KAL in the delivery of health and fitness courses such as the Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 PT Course at The Stadium Health and Fitness Complex in Huddersfield, to KAL employee’s to ensure Continual Professional Development (CPD).
