Working as a personal trainer, a gym instructor, a sports centre manager or in another sector of health and fitness, training is an essential aspect of your career – whether you are just starting out or looking to advance your Continual Professional Development (CPD).
While there are many training bodies to choose from, some stand out from the crowd for their dedication to consistently high standards. For this reason, CMS Fitness Courses is proud to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Use of Technology category of the Active Training Awards.
WHAT ARE THE ACTIVE TRAINING AWARDS?
The awards “celebrate exceptional performance and commitment in the Physical Activity sector, specifically that of vocational education, training and development”.
First held in 2014, the awards offer the opportunity for training providers in the sector to gain national recognition, through undertaking a thorough and highly credible assessment process.
WHO RUNS THE AWARDS?
The awards are delivered by ukactive and the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) and sponsored by Active IQ, an awarding body providing vocational qualifications to training providers.

AWARDS WINNERS
The winners of the various awards, including the Best Use of Technology Award, will be announced at the Active Training Awards Night on Thursday 26 November. This will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
An afternoon of workshops will be followed by the award ceremony, where 10 awards will be presented in a variety of categories. CMS will be up against five other organisations for the Best Use of Technology Award.
The team at CMS Fitness Courses works hard to ensure that it offers high quality training, supporting learners in the classroom but also by harnessing technology, such as their blog and their online learning. Being shortlisted for this award represents wider recognition of CMS’s ongoing commitment to high standards.
