Kettlebells are a common and popular fixture in gym and studio environments. They are a great way to develop muscular endurance, strength and functional core strength and are popular with clients.
The Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells is aimed at fitness instructors wishing to expand their knowledge, understanding and skills by offering kettlebell sessions.
The Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells is recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals at Level 2.
How Do I Start?
When you enrol on the Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells you will receive your joining instructions via email giving you access to your learning resources.
The resources are divided into unit order providing you with the relevant manuals, worksheets, and documents required to help you complete your learning and prepare for your workshop/assessment days.
There are two units for the Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells:
- Unit 1: Planning a kettlebell exercise session
- Unit 2: Instructing a kettlebell exercise session
Unit 1 consists of a knowledge-based worksheet and a session plan. It is recommended that you complete and email your Unit 1 knowledge based worksheet to us before you attend the workshop. You are expected to complete your session plan document during your attendance at the workshop.
The submission of any work is not final and can be amended once marked by one of the CMS team and feedback was given. However, we insist that all work submitted is fully completed to a high level prior to submission.

All Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells learners will recieve:

- 1 workshop day
All Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells learners are required to be:
Aged 16 years old or over.
Hold a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing or equivalent
Our highly skilled tutors will adapt their delivery to support all learner requirements but we recommend that you have some experience of exercising with Kettlebells.
You should be fit enough to cope with the physical exertion and individual participation involved in the course.
This course must be paid for in full at time of booking.
The Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells requires the following units to be achieved by completing the below assessments:
Unit 1: Planning a Kettlebell Exercise Session
Unit 2: Instructing a Kettlebell Exercise Session
Unit 2 consists of a formative practical observation completed by your tutor/assessor. The observation will take place throughout the workshop itself giving you the opportunity to practice your delivery and receive feedback on an ongoing basis.
All documents and components of the assessment will be explained to you by your workshop tutor.
Completion of the Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells is not a pre-requiste for any additonal courses:
