How Do I Start?
When you enrol on the Level 3 Award in Prescribing Nutrition for Physical Activity you will receive your joining instructions via email giving you access to your learning resources.
The resources are divided into unit order providing you with the relevant manuals, worksheets, documents, knowledge checkers and mock exams required to help you complete your learning and prepare for your workshop/assessment days.
There is one unit for this qualification:
- Unit 1: Applying the Principles of Nutrition
The unit is divided into two assessments:
- Theoretical exam
- Case Study
As part of your qualification, you will need to pass one theoretical paper-based multiple-choice exam. The exam is sat on the day of the workshop. If you refer an exam you can book to re-sit the exam on one of our planned re-sit days. You can re-sit an exam as many times as needed, however CMS Fitness Courses has a responsibility to ensure that teaching and learning occur in between each exam to promote learner development and quality of delivery.
Unit 2 – Case Study
It is expected that you complete your documents for Unit 2 during and after your attendance on workshop day 1 and submit them six weeks after your attendance. Your case study includes:
- Client Interview
- Overview of Client Goals
- Evaluation and Modification Summary
All documents and components of the assessment will be explained to you by your workshop tutor.
Please note, this qualification is also available via distance learning (no workshop attendance). Support is provided by a tutor via phone and email. If you were to choose this option you will still need to attend a planned assessment day/time to sit your multiple-choice exam.
