This course leads to an Active IQ Level 3 personal training diploma. You will develop the knowledge, practical skills and professional understanding needed to work with clients safely and effectively.

On successful completion, you will achieve an Active IQ Level 3 personal training diploma. The qualification includes six mandatory units, 300 guided learning hours and 430 total qualification time.

Weeks 0 to 12: Applied anatomy and physiology for exercise and fitness
Build your understanding of the body systems relevant to exercise and fitness.
Weeks 12 to 16: Principles of nutrition for exercise and health
Learn how nutrition supports health, exercise performance and recovery, and how to use credible information within the professional scope of a personal trainer.
Weeks 14 to 21: Programme design and delivery for personal training
Apply your learning to client consultation, health and fitness assessment, programme design, training delivery, review and reassessment.
Weeks 21 to 23: Professionalism and business acumen for personal trainers
Develop the legal, professional, financial and marketing knowledge needed to begin your career as a personal trainer.

- Have access to a smartphone or video-recording device where practical evidence is required
- Be willing to take part in planned live tutor support, including webinars where required
